Airtel is all set to roll out its 4G services in the capital city. Last month, 4G services were launched by Airtel in Chennai. Chennai was the 19th city in the list of cities where Airtel has started to launch its services. Some of the other cities include Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali.
Last week, the 4G services were launched by Airtel in the city of Hisar in Haryana. It was the fourth city in Haryana after Ambala, Karnal, and Yamunanagar to receive the services. In the mid of May, 4G trials were launched by Airtel for the existing customers in the cities of Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad in Telengana. Before that, in May itself, 4G services were launched in the metropolitan city of Mumbai. The trial in Chennai started from May 14.
According to the Bharti Airtel (India) Hub CEO for Upper North, Manu Sood,” Over the last few months, we at Airtel have made significant investments in building a robust 4G network here. We invite our data savvy customers in Karnal and Yamunanagar to enjoy this world class data experience.”
The company released an official email stating the launching of the latest 4G services exclusively for the Airtel customers in New Delhi. A complimentary upgrade to 4G services is also being offered by Airtel at 3G rates as a part of this trial. This will provide the customers in Delhi a wider network coverage with higher speeds. All this is provided because the system is integrated with FD and TD 4G network.
Airtel has also announced partnerships with the e-commerce giant Flipkart and Samsung with an idea of getting more users on board to roll out this super fast network connection. Samsung India and Airtel have together decided to promote each other’s 4G services at their own outlets as well. These go-market partnerships could benefit the users a lot.
With Airtel 4G services, HD video streaming will become superfast. The buffering time will be reduced to almost nil. According to Airtel, the speeds they offer will allow the customers to download 10 movies in around 30 minutes. They will be able to upload albums in no more than 5 minutes, and also connect any number of devices with no limitations as such.
