Starting from today all that you need is your full name and mobile number for registration and you can use Facebook Messenger for catching up with your dear and near.  It is available for users in the US, Canada, Venezuela and Peru.

Users may still use the New Facebook Messenger with their Facebook Account. However the new users will be able to see a new “Log In With Facebook” button. This button will be on the start screen.  It imports contacts and links it to your Facebook Account.

  • From there, you can sign up with your name, phone number and a photo.

The suggestion shows that signing in with a name and phone number won’t sync your chats across devices.
